Do I have to submit to ISTAT for every booking?

Yes, if your region requires reporting for your type of property. Arrivals and departures for every stay have to be reported, day by day. Deadlines and rules vary from region to region, with some asking for data within 24 hours and others at the end of the month. Doorling takes the numbers from check-in, so you don't have to work them out again by hand.

Is sending automatic in every Region?

Not yet. Doorling sends automatically every evening where the connection with the regional portal is active. In the other regions the guided setup is still there and the data is ready, because you download the month's file or copy the numbers Doorling has already worked out. Your region's page, in the ISTAT reporting section, tells you which case applies to you.

What happens if a transmission fails?

You see the status “error” with the specific cause, for example “nationality field not recognised”. Fix the data and resend with one click, without starting over.

Can I send a whole month in one go?

Yes, in regions that use ROSS 1000, from the monthly report on the property page. If the connection is active you send all the month's overnight stays in one go, skipping days already sent, otherwise you download the month's file to import into the portal.

What is ISTAT?

The ISTAT report sends your region your guest numbers, meaning arrivals, nights and origin, with no names. Each region has its own portal, with its own rules and deadlines, and copying every stay across by hand is slow and easy to get wrong.

Doorling recognises the Region from the property's address and takes the data from the online check-in. What happens next depends on the portal. Where the connection is active, you enter your credentials and facility code once and Doorling transmits every evening, including days with zero guests. Where the portal uses its own format, Doorling shows you the figures for each day to copy.
